Industry Councils
CCTC
Charles County, Maryland's Technology Council, CCTC hosts several workshops, recruitment fairs and special events to increase the presence of the technology community in Charles County, Maryland.

Manufacturing Council
The EDD brings together representatives from Charles County's manufacturing and printing companies to identify and address their industry-specific needs. Meetings cover issues such as workforce development and training, management, marketing, and identifying available resources. For information, contact info@charlescounty.org.

Healthcare Roundtable
The Healthcare Roundtable was created as a response to the nationwide shortage of healthcare practitioners. The goal is to encourage young people in Charles County to choose healthcare careers by working with the schools to teach students about the choices available in those fields. In addition to age-specific programs in the classrooms, members participate in "Healthcare Careers Awareness Month" and "Healthcare Careers Awareness Day" with events in the schools and in the community. The Healthcare Roundtable also provides an opportunity for networking and problem solving among members of the Healthcare community. For information, contact info@charlescounty.org.

Workforce Development Committee
The EDD's Workforce Development Committee is made up of volunteers from the community with a focus on the workforce training and development needs of businesses and industry groups in the county. The committee develops county employee profiles, identifies training resources available to businesses, and recommends the use of new tools and resources to keep the county's labor pool competitive. The committee also coordinates workforce development efforts with the public schools, the College of Southern Maryland, Industry groups, the State of Maryland and other interested parties.
